Working 9 to 5 – the area’s social, economic and industrial heritage
Surrey Heath’s industrial heritage dates back to the 1930s, with technical and manufacturing firsts originating in this area. The legacy has ensured the area remains an attractive location for contemporary businesses. The workforce was made up of local residents and people settling in the area, creating a community which has grown and become more diverse. The exhibition features objects and archives from the collection alongside people’s memories. The project and exhibition is kindly funded by Surrey Industrial Heritage Group.
