A trip to our neighbouring museum, FAST and the Grade 1 listed Wind Tunnels. The tunnels tested the performance of aircraft structures and mechanics from 1917 to 1994, developing as aero sciences developed. Three of five wind tunnels still exist and we will have a tour of the wind tunnels and the ‘portable’ aircraft hanger.

Guildford Cathedral and Castle Park Gallery
Guildford Cathedral is known as the People’s Cathedral. First commissioned in 1936 and designed by Sir Edward Maufe, it was only fully opened in 1961; World War II, post War building restrictions and shortage of funds had all been overcome. We have a tour of the cathedral followed by a visit to Guildford House Gallery (inc. a short introductory tour) where the winner of Guildford House Open art competition will be exhibiting.
